THE ROLE:

This role is responsible for supporting the advertising sales team during pre and post sales
cycles, as well as throughout the execution phase for digital campaigns. The ideal candidate
will have a detailed knowledge of digital advertising, adserving and adtech.

This role is responsible for supporting the advertising sales team during pre and post sales cycles, as well as throughout the execution phase for digital campaigns.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work with sales, editorial, account managers and vendors to implement and oversee ad campaigns on site, mobile, app and social media
  • Expert level and hands on experience of digital ad operations
  • Manage ad trafficking, ad creation, QA, and reporting
  • Monitor campaigns throughout lifecycle, communicating with account managers, creative agencies and vendors on issues as needed
  • Optimize campaigns, including reviewing reports and making suggestions to improve performance
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, editorial, design, and tech on the creation and implementation of custom advertising solutions
  • Oversight of high impact calendar and inventory reservation and management
  • Provide pre-implementation and post-implementation support to display publishers
  • Setup, traffic, and optimize online ad campaigns in DFP, working with advertisers and ad networks to receive assets for campaign launches
  • QA or troubleshoot 3rd party tags, flash files, and other advertiser-provided creatives
  • Provide technical support to advertisers, account managers and others via phone, email and web
  • Stay abreast of current and upcoming technology product capabilities. Investigate and build out exciting new Rich Media product offerings for desktop and mobile

Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent (computer science, engineering, or related) preferred with a strong academic record
  • Prior experience of working in digital advertising operations on the publisher side

Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ad serving and ad stack management. Specifically DoubleClick for Publishers
  • Experience using third party Ad Serving vendors like Doubleclick Studio, MediaMind,
  • Proficiency in programmatic advertising. Experience working with ad networks and exchanges, implementing passback tags
  • Experience working with analytics and audience tools such as Google Analytics and comScore
  • Good analytical and problem solving abilities along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Flash
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of digital media and digital advertising, especially video
  • Familiar with traditional and new media platforms, and campaign styles 
  • Excellent communicator – writer and verbal.
