28 Aug

ScienTec Consulting wins two top honours at the Recruitment International Asia Awards 2015. It received the prestigious Life Sciences Recruitment Company of the Year again this year, at an awards ceremony held at the Fullerton Hotel. ScienTec Consulting also took home the Growth Company of the Year award.

The Recruitment International Asia Awards are judged by leading professionals from the recruitment and professional services sector and the winners are selected based on strict criteria set for each of the award categories.

ScienTec Consulting was selected as the winner of the Life Sciences Recruitment Company of the Year award based on its solid track record of success in Life Sciences/Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, BioPharma, Clinical Diagnostics, Medical Devices and Healthcare Services. It achieved this through a superior customer and candidate experience, employee engagement, commitment to training and development, and proven revenue growth and profitability.

“We’re truly honoured to be awarded the Life Sciences Recruitment Company of the Year for the second year running. We were the first recruitment firm in Asia to specialise in Life Sciences 14 years ago, when the industry was virtually non-existent. Today, ScienTec Consulting has established long term relationships with the top global Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical companies in Asia and making them attractive to potential candidates via strong employer branding strategies.

“We have in place proprietary systems and processes developed and refined over time that get immediate results for our clients. With this award, we are inspired to raise the bar even higher and strive for greater excellence in all aspects of our business,” said Ms Karen Tok, CEO of ScienTec Consulting.

ScienTec Consulting was also accorded the Growth Company of the Year award for achieving consistent annual revenue growth averaging 47% since 2002 and one of the highest profit margins for a mid- to large-sized recruitment agency in Asia. In addition, it also met the criteria of investing heavily in the training and development, as well as in the well-being of its employees.

“Our four core values of People First, Performance Excellence, Knowledge Insight and Entrepreneurial Drive, have guided us to deliver a superior brand experience to all our clients. This is the foundation on which we develop our in-house training programmes; four months of induction training, regular skills upgrading and leadership training. We also recognise and reward our team members in 33 critical areas such as Top Sales Achiever, Best Colleague and Brand Ambassador. In addition, we provide above-industry standard benefits and a work environment that is fun and engaging via the numerous social and CSR activities held regularly,” added Ms Tok.
